As of April 19, 2023, this project is currently in the City of Barnstable Fiscal Year 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan. Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for design and construction in fiscal year 2025. A firm timeline has not been established. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. Design, Construct, Relocate and Extend Taxiway B (Approx. 4,500ft x 50ft) between the East Ramp and RWY 6-24 (not including the Glide Slope critical area). As part of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) goals to improve and correct airport layout deficiencies, enhance aircraft safety, and insure compliance with regulatory guidance, this project serves to correct major deterioration associated with taxiway Bravo (circa 1962) as well as realigning, reconstructing, shifting and extending the taxiway to insure compliance with regulatory guidance. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
