The proposed improvements consist of resurfacing the designated alleys with bituminous material (asphalt). To extend the operational life of the concrete alley and to facilitate localized drainage, Public Works recommends that concrete alleys be overlaid with bituminous materials. If an alley has previously been resurfaced, the old bituminous material will be removed down to the original concrete alley before the new surface is placed. Assessments of $150 or less are to be collected in their entirety on the 2021 real estate tax statements with interest charged on the assessments at a rate of 3.6%, as determined by the Minneapolis Finance Dept. Prepayment is made to the Minneapolis Finance Department. Pay statements are sent only by request and the taxpayer is solely responsible for obtaining said statement.
