Site work for a water / sewer project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of constructing a 6-million-gallon potable water storage tank with appurtenances, foundation, steel transmission line nozzles, overflow discharge vaults, minor site improvement and restoration work, and modifications to an existing welded steel water storage tank. The BOPU will accept bids for a potable water storage tank meeting the requirements of the most recent version of either American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standard D100 Welded Carbon Steel Tanks for Water Storage -OR- AWWA Standard D110 Wire- and Strand-Wound, Circular, Prestressed Concrete Water Tanks. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond with sufficient surety for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of such bid, payable to, and to be forfeited to, the Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities as liquidated damages if bidder fails to enter into contract within thirty (30) days after award to him, or fails, at the time of executing the agreement, to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Facsimile (fax) or other copies of bonds are not acceptable, nor are certified cashier's checks, certified checks or bank drafts. NO BIDS WILL BE CONSIDERED IF NOT ACCOMPANIED BY SUCH BOND OR IF NOT IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF W.S. 15-1-113. Pursuant to W.S. 16-6-106, "preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Wyoming, or supplied by a resident of the state, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside of the state." Qualified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to submit bids on this project. Bidders that use a subcontractor(s)/supplier(s) are required to make a good faith effort at soliciting DBE subcontractor/supplier participation. Bidders shall submit the required DBE Good Faith Effort Documentation form and other related forms with their bids. Qualified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to submit bids on this project. Bidders that use a subcontractor(s)/supplier(s) are required to make a good faith effort at soliciting DBE subcontractor/supplier participation. Bidders shall submit the required DBE Good Faith Effort Documentation form and other related forms with their bids. The procurement will be subject to the "Use of American Iron and Steel" requirements as contained in Section 436 of H.R. 3547, The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014 and as updated and revised in America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Board of Public Utilities. The date that the Bidding Documents are obtained by the Bidder will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Original CADD and WORD files will not be distributed. MBE (7.5%), WBE (6.9%) The Work will be substantially completed on or before September 1, 2024 ; final completion- on or before October 1, 2024.
