Septage Receiving Improvements. The current Septage receiving facility consists of one (1) 150 diameter magnetic flow meter, one (1) motorized knife gate, data logger, one (1) manually cleaned coarse bar screen, a 340 m3 holding tank, automatic cleaning system, two (2) submersible pumps rated for 18.0 L/s at 7.5 TDH discharging through a 150 mm forcemain. The current system was designed for 5,000 m3 per annum. Recent changes to land application permits have seen incoming Hauled waste volumes increase to 30,000 m3 per annum. These higher then anticipated volumes has resulted in premature mechanical failures and significant lost revenues when haulers have to be redirected to unmetered disposal points due to no redundancy of the inlet works. Improvements are required to provide faster discharging, better spill containment, better offloading for lower tucks, improved solids removal and improved process flow addition. TIMELINE: Project is in final planning. Project is on hold pending Owner's decision to proceed. Update may be available summer 2026.
