The County of Hoke is requesting fee proposals for mowing and trash clean up on public roadways and on demand pick-ups throughout public area per requested by Hoke County Solid Waste Department or County Managers Office. The County requests that bids are received from companies or other agencies with the ability and interest in providing these services with the required equipment to perform mowing of major roadways and debris pickup with an average of up to 100 on-demand work orders per week. Must have own equipment. An on-site inspection of equipment may be required. The contract period will be for a twelve-month period. No automatic renewal it will be put out for bid. The County of Hoke reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and only award a contract if it is in the best interest of the board to do so. Contractor shall perform the services set forth in this contract in a timely, workman-like manner.
Contractor shall mow all grass, weeds and brush including moving around all obstacles, leaving no ridges of high or uncut grass along 401 Highway, 211 Highway, Highway 20, at least 2 times per year coordinating with NCDOT. Trimming/Cutting/Raking. Contractor shall trim all bushes and unsightly branches, cut large tree limbs that have fallen or logs, rake and remove heavy concentrations of litter, small debris and fallen leaves and/or branches. Contractor shall clear right of way of debris and clippings as needed. Garbage, debris and waste removal. Contractor shall pick up and remove all garbage, rubbish, debris, trash and waste materials, including but not limited to cans, bottles, loose papers, dead tree limbs, grass and brush clippings, abandoned/broken/unused household appliances, furniture, and other like items. Written documentation or pictures of job status to update the County on completed project may be required to document completed work orders. Dedicated phone number or email site for work orders to be called in for demand litter complaints. Contractor will be responsible for all fees associated with disposing of waste at the Hoke County Solid Waste Transfer Station.
