The work will require the contractor to demolish and cleanup any remaining building materials from the site at the property address identified to include, but not limited to, footings and foundations, concrete block, wood, plumbing pipe, hvac duct and final grade the site and provide positive drainage as required, and placement of seed and straw on all areas disturbed. A single prime proposal will be received for the demolition cleanup of Fire Station No. 56. Each proposal shall include the cost of all state and local sales and use taxes. All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the state laws governing their respective trades. Contractor is responsible for obtaining all permits and fees associated with this project. Bid Bonds have been waived for these projects. A Performance Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Payment will be made on the basis of ninety percent (95%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, except under the provisions of General Statute 143-129.1, for a period of sixty (90) days. The City of Greensboro reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
