Site work and new construction of a civil project in Trinity, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the construction of a water / sewer project.
The West Morgan East Lawrence Water & Sewer Authority (the Authority) is soliciting prequalification packages from General Contractors interested in submitting a bid for construction of the planned Mallard Fox West WWTP Expansion.The Mallard Fox West WWTP Expansion will be located at the site of the existing Mallard Fox West WWTP at Sheats Chapel Road in Trinity, Lawrence County, Alabama. The project scope currently includes: Construction of a new Influent Pumping Station. Construction of a new Screening/Headworks Facility. Construction of a new Oxidation Ditch. Construction of a new Clarifier. Construction of a new RAS/WAS Pumping Station. Construction of a new Chlorine Contact Basin. Construction of a new Effluent Pumping Station. Relocation of an existing Flo-Trend Sludge-Mate Dewatering Box from the Sims/Hames RO Facility to the Mallard Fox West WWTP. Construction of a new Dewatered Solids Storage Area. Construction of a new metal Administration Building. Construction of necessary electrical, yard piping, grading, drainage, and other ancillary work. Potential construction of Alternate Bid Items for a second Clarifier and/or a Sludge Thickener. Demolition of the existing package plant and appurtenances. Other miscellaneous and ancillary work It is anticipated that all work will be performed under one general construction contract and that no separate contracts will be issued by the Owner. This project has a mandatory pre qualification process. All interested, responsible, licensed General Contractors and Electrical Subcontractors who have successful recent experience with projects with similar requirements are encouraged to respond.All questions should be directed to the Engineer at 205-733-9696. The following General Contractors who have recently pre-qualified with the Owner on a project of much larger scope and complexity are considered pre-qualified for the Mallard Fox West WWTP Expansion and need not submit pre- qualification information B.H.
