Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Vancouver, Washington. Completed plans call for the addition of a two-story above grade educational facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified bank check, or cashiers check made payable to the Owner for not less than 5 percent of the Base Bid amount, excluding applicable local and Washington State sales taxes. Bid security shall be forfeited as damages should Bidder neglect or refuse to execute and deliver the specified Agreement form and performance and payment bonds for labor and materials within 10 calendar days after being notified in writing by the Owner of its selection as successful Bidder. The bid security will be returned to the undersigned if this proposal is not accepted within 45 calendar days from Bid opening date. If the Contract is awarded to another Bidder, such bid security will be returned to the undersigned within 3 calendar days after the Contract has been executed. Work will be performed under a single-prime contract. In addition, each bid shall include completed Document 004519 - Non-Collusion Affidavit and Document 004533 - Statement of Non-Segregated Facilities with Bid. In accordance with State of Washington Statues, Bidders are required to submit as a part of their bid, names of proposed Subcontractors for the following areas: Plumbing; HVAC, and Electrical. Include these names on the official Bid Form included in these Contract Documents. This Project is considered a Public Works project. Attention of Bidders is called to State of Washington statues, regulations, and rules pertaining the following Public Works projects: Non-discrimination in employment and facilities; rates of payment for wages and fringe benefits to workers; employment of excess numbers of workers who are non-residents of the State of Washington; Bid Form; bonds, contracts, and certificates; restrictions of lien, taxes and retainage; and barrier-free facilities for the handicapped; and qualified contractor requirements. No Bidder may withdraw or modify its Bid after the time set for the Bid opening until after 45 calendar days from receipt of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all Bids. Last Date for Bidder Questions to Architect: August 19, 2020
