The scope of work to be performed consists of the installation of 1,450 lineal feet of 12" waterline and 4,830 l.f. of 8" waterline and appurtenances. With the COVID-19 Pandemic affecting our agency, Maumee Valley Planning Organization is asking all contractors to either MAIL the bid packet to us or (419-784-3882) before dropping the bid packet off. No bids will be able to be picked up at the Williams County Commissioners Office because of the pandemic. The Architect/Engineer for the Project is Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc., 1168 North Main Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of 100% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Williams County Commissioners and the Village of West Unity, Ohio or by certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the aforesaid Williams County Commissioners and the Village of West Unity, Ohio. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunityprovisions, and the requirement for payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the highest applicable minimum wage rates as established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio and the federal Davis-Bacon Wage Determinations issued by the U.S. Department of Labor. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Williams County Commissioners and the Village of West Unity, Ohio reserve the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. This project is being partially funded with Federal CDBG and OPWC funds. The opinion of probable cost of construction for this project is $719,000.
