Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Hinckley, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
Bids are requested for the improvement of C.H.135 Ledge Road, Hinckley Township, Medina County, Ohio. Said improvement will involve the removal of the existing 15 x 8 slab bridge and installation of a new 15 x 8 4-sided box culvert including premium bedding and backfill, concrete footers & wingwalls, ditching ,ditch enclosures, catch basins, guardrail, asphalt pavement and general excavation involving ditch realignment and fine grading in preparation of seeding and incorporating stipulated traffic control in accordance with the specifications and accompanying construction drawings. The Engineer's Estimate is $191,421.50 (C.H.135 Ledge Road Bridge No.20 Replacement Project). The improvement project shall have a final completion date of October 9th, 2020. Each bidder shall be required to file a bid guaranty with the bid in the form of either: (1) a Bid/ Performance Bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid; or (2) a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Letter of Credit shall equal to 10% of the amount bid, conditioned that the bidder shall, if his bid is accepted, execute a contract in conformity with the bid, plans, details, specifications and bills of material. A Letter of Credit shall be revocable only at the option of the County. Additional documents that must be submitted with the bid are specified in the Instruction to Bidders portion of the bid documents. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contract compliance with the Equal Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Domestic steel use requirements as specified in section 153.011 of the Ohio Revised Code apply to this project. Copies of Section 153.011 of the Ohio Revised Code can be obtained from any of the offices of the department of administrative services. Bidders must comply with Prevailing Wage Rates on public improvements in Medina County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Labor and Worker Safety. The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. The Medina County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
