The addition in the west courtyard is a CMU masonry-bearing structural system on concrete footings and CMU foundation walls with cavity insulation and clay masonry brick veneer to match the existing school building. The roof structure is a cold-formed metal truss system with nonacoustical metal decking and includes a standing seam metal roof system. Where the addition ties into the existing building, there is a small section of roof structure that is a structural beam and column framing system with non-acoustical metal decking. It includes a fully-adhered membrane roof system. There is an exterior storefront system with doors in the main corridor and aluminum windows in the classrooms. The interior walls consist of CMU masonry with hollow metal door frames (with wood doors). The infill of the east open courtyard is a CMU masonry-bearing structural system on concrete footings and CMU foundation walls with cavity insulation and clay masonry brick veneer and metal wall panel to match the existing school building. The roof structure is a structural steel beam and bar joist framing system with non-acoustical metal decking. It includes a standing seam metal roof system. Where the addition ties into the existing building, there is a small section of roof structure that is a structural beam and column framing system with non-acoustical metal decking and a fullyadhered membrane roof system. There are exterior storefront systems with doors, as well as aluminum curtain wall window systems. The interior walls consist of metal stud framing with gypsum wallboard with hollow metal door frames (with wood doors). Educational casework is included throughout both additions, including the classrooms, the Media Center, and the STEM lab. The flooring will be a combination of LVT flooring, carpet tile flooring, and polished concrete. Included is minimal demolition, of similar materials listed above, of the existing building, where each new building addition will be built against it. A Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, irrevocable letter of credit, or surety company bond pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised code in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall accompany each bid; or a bid guaranty bond in accordance with Chapter 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 100% of the total bid shall accompany each bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, irregularities and/or errors in the bids to the extent permitted by law. This includes the right to extend the date and time for receipt of bids.
