Renovation of a municipal facility in Concord, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
All bidders are notified that the provisions of NCGS 143-128, including guidelines for minority business enterprise participation shall be observed in letting and executing the work. Bidders are also notified that they must be properly licensed under the state laws governing their respective trades and that applicable provisions of Chapter 87 of the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina shall be observed in the receiving of bids and awarding of contracts for the work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the contract to other than the low bidder should it be deemed in the Owners best interest. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after receipt of bids. Bid Security: Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. A Performance Bond and separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the full amount of the contract shall be submitted prior to executing the work.
