Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in North York, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 1,800-unit multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.

The Oriole Yards Study has identified a plan for relocating existing City uses from the site to free the lands for development. The scope of work may include construction of an estimated 1800 residential units in a mix of towns and apartments. There will be a total of 603 affordable units. TIMELINE: This project is on hold. This project was included by the City of Toronto in their comprehensive HousingTO 2020-2030 Action Plan and was included in the second group of Housing Now sites put forward at its March 2021 board meeting. The development of the Block Context plan is currently under way, with a rezoning submission and plan of subdivision submission planned in 2022. A non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with North York General Hospital is currently under negotiation, details of which were considered by the CreateTO Board in May 2021. Design Review Panel was held October 2021. The A zoning submission was previously expected Q2 2023 has been delayed based on ongoing coordination with the City of Toronto Seniors Services and Long-Term Care Division. Zoning submissions may be made Q4 2024/Q1 2025 pending relocations of the current works yard uses and based on agreements with the developer and approvals.
