Notice is hereby given that the Forest Preserve District of Cook County is soliciting Bids for the above referenced project. The work includes, but is not limited to, pavement resurfacing, drainage and sidewalk improvements, and other related work as specified in the plans & specifications for three (3) locations; Beaubien Woods Boat Launch, Erickson Woods, and Tinley Creek Trail Green Spur. Work shall be substantially completed within 112 calendar days from the date that the District issues the Notice To Proceed. The Contract shall end within 91 calendar days from the Substantial Completion date. When required, the Bid shall be accompanied by either a cashier's check, a certified check, a bank draft or a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) or more of the Bid, which shall be used for the Bid Security Deposit.When required, the bid shall be accompanied by a surety statement from a qualified Surety Agency indicating bidder's ability to obtain valid and enforceable Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the full amount of the bid, should the Contract be awarded to the Bidder The District reserves the unqualified right to reject or accept any and all bids or any combination thereof, if applicable, which, in its sole and absolute judgment, will best serve the public interest. In the event equal bids are received, the District reserves the unqualified right in its absolute and sole discretion, to accept the bid, in whole or in part, from the Contractor that the District deems most qualified and/or that will, under all circumstances, best serve the public interest.
