Renovation of a municipal facility in Birmingham, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Sealed bids will be received for the Reroofing of the Tom Gloor Building Birmingham, Alabama & Reroofing of the Jefferson County 9-1-1 Center Point, Alabama. Requirements for Pre-qualification: The Owner shall qualify Contractors who have successfully completed similar projects on time for satisfied Owners. Pre-Qualification forms shall be obtained from the Architect. The Pre-Qualification proposal shall consist of AIA Document 305, Workers' Compensation Experience Modification Rate, a list of successful projects of similar in scope, construction costs, clients name, address, and telephone number. General Contractors will be notified on 12:00 PM CT, Tuesday, June 16, 2020 as to the status of their pre-qualification. Written Pre-Qualification procedures and criteria are available for review at the office of Stephen Ward & Associates, Inc., 140 Oxmoor Boulevard, Suite 160, Birmingham, Alabama 35209 and the Birmingham Construction Industry Authority Plan Room. No bids will be accepted after the time stated for receipt of bids.This requirement will not be waived. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days. Bids will be submitted on forms provided in the project manual. Bids must be submitted on Proposal Forms included in this project manual or copies thereof. Submit two (2) copies of the Bid on the Proposal Form provided, without changes, in a sealed envelope bearing the contractor's name, license number, and bid bond. A bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of bid must accompany any bid $25,000 or more. Bids submitted without the bid bond will not be considered. Bidders must be licensed in accordance with the Laws and Regulations of the State of Alabama and Jefferson County. All times indicated are local times. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted. The successful qualified bidder will provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, a Certificate of Insurance and proof of enrollment in the Federal E-Verify Program.
