Each bid must include Bid Security, a certified check, bank check or bid bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the state of PA, in the amount of 10% of the total contract amount, including all add alternates, payable to Doylestown Borough. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required to be furnished by the successful bidder with a corporate surety approved by Doylestown Borough. Bidding will be public, utilize Pennsylvania State Prevailing Wage Rates established by the Commonwealth of PA Department of Labor and Industry and be received in One (1) Prime Bid for the Building Additions and Alterations. The bid shall include all General Construction, Mechanical Construction, Electrical Construction, Plumbing Construction, Fire Protection Construction, and Site Construction. The Project falls under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012, 43 P.S. 167.1, which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. All Bidders are required to submit the Borough of Doylestown Contractor Responsibility Certification with their bid indicating compliance with Borough ordinance for selecting Responsible Contractors and Subcontractors for public contracts.
