*As of October 02, 2020, the project has been awarded to Ecological Restoration, Inc for the base bid amount of $129,844, and including Add Alternate #1 at $3,200, Add Alternate #2 at $11,686.50, and Add Alternate #3 at $3,500, for a total amount of $148,230.50. This project consists of improvements to an existing stream and installation of in-stream structures, including log deflectors, single wing log vanes, and alternating log vanes, along with areas of bank stabilization, including branch layering, rip rap installation, and gravel bar removal; stream by-pass; installation, maintenance and removal of sediment control devices; and all associated site restoration, complete in place. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope that is clearly marked on the outside with the appropriate wording BIRD PARK STREAM RESTORATION PROJECT. It is suggested that bidders notify Mt. Lebanon or Gateway Engineers if bids are dropped off in the vestibule so that the bids can be retrieved. The bid opening will not be open to the public but will occur remotely and be recorded for viewing upon request. Bidders providing an email address will be able to view the bid opening live. Prevailing wage rates MUST be paid on this Contract. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Municipality of Mt. Lebanon in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Commission of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania reserves the right to waive any formalities or to reject any or all bids. If more time is necessary for the determination of the lowest responsible bidder, the Commission of Mt. Lebanon reserves the right to award the Contract later but not exceeding sixty (60) days from the date Bids were submitted. Such date will be publicly announced immediately after the bids are opened.
