Renovation of a detention facility in Fort Worth, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
As of October 19,2020 the project is not yet awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The deadline for receipt of all written questions is 12:00 (Noon), Fort Worth time, Texas, Monday, August 24, 2020. The overall scope of the project is to replace an existing 7-stop electric traction elevator with a completely new 7-stop electric traction overhead penthouse electric traction geared or gearless passenger elevator. The new traction elevator will require a new hoist beam. One of the existing shaft walls requires demolition and will be replaced with a new 2-hour fire-rated shaft wall. The existing elevator lobbies at each level will require new shaft wall infill and wall finish as needed for new elevator door frame locations. The new traction elevator also requires updates to electrical components for both the elevator and the shaft. Each Contractor shall examine all the Contract Documents and shall visit the site to ensure a complete understanding of the total Scope of Work required
