Renovation of a laboratory facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
Remodel and renovation of 6,505 gross square feet (GSF) comprising of the entire B-Floor in the Re ed Neurological Center Building. The project seeks to renovate existing wet and dry lab space to support two research teams. Fixed lab benches will be replaced with mobile lab benches to facilitate future reconfiguration of the labs to allow for changes in equipment and laboratory emphasis. Tissue culture rooms, equipment rooms and faculty offices will be provided for each team. Shared support spaces will include microscopy and cold room space, open office space, a conference room and kitchenette. Additional work includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, accessibility and telecommunications upgrades. Estimated Construction Cost: $4,500,000.00 No occupants will be on B-Floor for entire construction duration; however, the remainder of the building will be occupied and operational. All work to be performed during normal business hours. Work will require the abatement of Lead containing materials.
