Spalding County is accepting sealed bids from qualified firms, meaning a Prequalified Prime Contractor listed by the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration, to provide materials, equipment, labor, and services necessary (including traffic control) for paving, resurfacing and striping work on various roadways in Spalding County for a Local Maintenance and Improvement Project Grant (LMIG) Resurfacing Project. All work shall be done in accordance with Georgia Department of Transportation's (GDOT) Standard Drawings and Standard Specifications for the construction and completion of the work required. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond completed on the attached Bid Bond Form with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The time allowed for completion of the project is 120 days. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount at least equal to 110 percent of the contract amount, and a Certification of Insurance will be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise.
