The program consists of the contractor supplying all material, labor, tools, equipment, and manpower to install 98,925 square yards of asphalt milling, 9,895 tons 9.5 mm asphalt Superpave, 2,445 square yards Type I (2.5 base repair), 7 loop detectors, 3 Speed Humps, 2,080 tons of leveling course, and pavement markings (5,878 LF DYL, 208 LF SWL, 58 (EA) Stop Bars, 12 Crosswalks, 8 letters, 111 for Parking Stalls, 1 arrow(3 x 12, 512 LF - 4 SWL for parking stalls, 16 SBL (blue). This is a prevailing wage project. A bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid is required. Upon award, payment and performance bonds in the amount of 100% of the bid are required, and a maintenance bond in the amount of 25% of the contract price is required. Radnor Township reserves the right to add or delete streets based on budgetary constraints; streets added or removed from the project will be done at the unit prices submitted by the successful bidder. The leveling course quantities may vary once the original surface is milled. All quantities noted on Exhibit A are informational only; bidders must completely familiarize themselves with the project and verify quantities. The successful bidder must be Penn DOT pre-qualified for milling and paving, and their subcontractors for pavement markings and loop detector installation. The award date for this project is tentatively scheduled for Monday, July 13, 2020. The project must be completed no later than Wednesday, September 30, 2020. The Township will not accept bids from any firm/corporation that are currently in litigation with the Township. The Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, for any cause permitted by law, as it deems in the best interest of the Township.
