The work is generally described as: Work consists of constructing a new shelter house (51-6 x 25'), containing open air space, restrooms, and a mechanical room. Building components will include concrete footings, concrete floor, metal roof, hollow metal doors, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation. Sitework includes grading and sidewalks. Cost Estimate: $100,000 - $150,000 Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 5% of the bid amount. Bid Security shall be made payable to the City of Ponca. The Bidder, upon award of Contract by the City of Ponca, will enter into a Contract at the prices bid and furnish the required Certificate of Insurance within ten (10) days after acceptance of this Bid by City Council. If the Contractor neglects, fails, or refuses to complete the Work within the Contract Time or an extension as determined by the Engineer, the Contractor shall pay the Owner the sum of four hundred ($400.00), not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages for such breach of Contract, for each and every working day that the Contractor defaults after the time stipulated for completing the Work. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish materials and construction that will, in their opinion serve the best interests of the Owner, and also reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
