Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility; for the construction of a two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for the demolition of a one-story above grade fire / police facility.
Furnishing All Labor, Materials, Equipment, Supplies, and Supervision Necessary for Construction of the Fire Station 7 As of February 6, 2025 an awarded general contractor has been identified and is in the process of awarding trades. Submit all questions for this project at least five (5) days prior to the bid opening through online. Longview Texas Fire Station No. 7 is a 9600 s.f. building located at 2811 Gilmer Road serving the northern areas of the City. The building consists of a 3-vehicle apparatus bay, 2-story living quarters for a crew of up to 8 and support areas. The building is of mixed classification, including Residential (R-2) and Storage (S-2) and of Type II construction. The occupancy classifications are separated by a one (1) hour fire wall separation. Construction is of concrete masonry and structural steel. The exterior walls are burnished (polished) concrete masonry units where exposed, and where not exposed, of standard concrete masonry units clad with stucco. Roof of the entire structure is standing seam metal averaging a 1:12 slope and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.
