Renovation of a mixed-use development in Valley Stream, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
All inquiries related to this RFP shall be in writing to the District. Inquiries and responses may be recorded be distributed to all proposers at the District's option. Email your questions to bphillips@vs30.org. The contract may be terminated by either party upon thirty (30) days written notice to the other party or as otherwise set forth in a contract between the parties. Upon such termination, the firm shall be paid for all work performed in accordance with this contract through the date of termination. It shall not be entitled to any additional payments, whether on account of lost profits or otherwise. The District has retained the firm John A. Grillo, Architect, P.C. to provide architectural and engineering services. The District is located in Nassau County, it owns and occupies four (4) buildings for educational purposes. 1. Clear Stream Avenue Elementary School, Shaw Avenue Elementary School and the Forest Road Elementary School were originally constructed in 1923, 1950 and 1953 respectively. The Washington Avenue Kindergarten Center was originally constructed in 1956, renovated in 2002 and ceased student occupation in July 2011. The District leased and then purchased space at 175 North Central Avenue for District Administration purposes in 2007.
