** The project was awarded to Gilbank Construction Inc. amount of $372,500.00 . The project started August 1 2020 and has been completed on end of November 2020. ** School District of Janesville hereby gives notice that sealed bids will be received at School District of Janesville for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for JVL SCHL Adams Elementary Kitchen Renovation. The work for which bids are asked includes the following: SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor shall provide the necessary trades, for which bids are asked including, but not necessarily limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the construction of JVL SCHL Adams Elementary Kitchen Renovation. Work area is approximately 1,893 sq.ft. renovation of the existing cafeteria, kitchen and toilet room along with a 135 sq.ft. exit stairway addition. Base Bid to include but not limited to; General Building Demolition, cast-in-place concrete, masonry aluminum windows, wood doors, hollow metal frames, coiling doors, kitchen equipment TPO roofing, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing. To assure proper coordination and completion of each bid package under this Project, the Contractor shall collaborate with all trades and material suppliers. The Contractor shall generate a single submittal log, submittal file in the Project trailer, and single construction schedule TIME: All bidders shall bid in accordance with, and shall bid upon the bid forms included in the Contract Documents. BIDDING DOCUMENTS: All contractors are responsible for the viewing/downloading of the correct documents for the purpose of providing a sufficient bid. As holders of these documents, you are acknowledging your requirements to obtain any addenda or other materials prior to bidding and/or construction of the project. Because the Owner and Angus Young Associates has no control over the means of printing these documents, you take the responsibility for verifying that you have all documents and that they have been printed correctly. LEGAL PROVISIONS: The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Section 66.0903 and 103.49 of the Wisconsin Statutes, as well as any other applicable sections thereof. BID SECURITY: A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to School District of Janesville in the amount of 5% of the bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee. If the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by School District of Janesville. Failure on the part of the bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to School District of Janesville as liquidated damages CONTRACT SECURITY: The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the School District of Janesville for 110% of the Contract Price for each of the above Bonds, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. BID REJECTION: School District of Janesville reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding, or to accept the bid or bids, which best serve the interests of the School District of Janesville. BID WITHDRAWAL: No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the schedule opening of the bids without the consent of the Owner or Architect.
