The work for which bids are asked includes the following: 3,800 S.Y. Clearing & Grubbing 3,320 C.Y. Common Excavation 100 L.F. 30-Inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe Class IV 80 L.F. 18-Inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe Class IV 1 Each 30-Inch Concrete End Wall 1 Each 30-Inch Concrete Energy Dissipater 2 Each 18-Inch Concrete End Walls 1450 C.Y Medium, & Heavy Riprap 25 TON Breaker Run (Pipe Foundation) 480 TON Base Aggregate Dense No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. The Bad River Tribe's purchase/contracts shall be made in accordance with the subcontractor's provisions of the P.L. 93-638 contract. Indian Preference will be given in accordance with P.L. 93-638. If a bid is submitted that does not contain all of the required information, then the bid will be deemed incomplete and will not be further considered in the evaluation of bids. An Employment Administrative Fee of 1.5% will be imposed on all contracts awarded by The Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in excess of $10,000.00. This construction tax shall be imposed upon the individual or entity that is awarded this contract from the Tribe and shall be included in this bid proposal. No bid may be withdraw within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Wage Rates. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. Federal wage rates can be found at http://www.wdol.gov/dba.aspx#0. Be aware that project Administrators, Bidders, and Contractors are required to use the latest federal wage rate available at the time of bid opening. OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. The Bad River Tribal Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
