Award of this project will be contingent upon Notification of Grant Award (NOGA) Funding. Base Proposal: Convert Existing Locker Room to Dance Studio at YWLA Primary at Page Questions Due Date: Jul 13th 2020, 12:00 PM CDT The estimated construction budget is $190,000 , which includes a $25,000 Contingency and a $25,000 Graphics Allowance. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Proposal Security (Bid Bond) on a form substantially similar to AIA Document A310 (1970 Edition) or on a form otherwise acceptable to the Owner, in the amount of five percent of the largest possible total proposal or proposals, including consideration of alternates, which sum shall be paid to Owner as liquidated damages in the event that the Offeror, if awarded the Contract, should fail within ten (10) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award to execute and return the Contract, together with the Performance and Payment Bonds with acceptable surety. Acceptable surety is defined as an insurance company duly authorized to do business in the State of Texas and license by the State of Texas to issue surety bonds, and having an unblemished record, in the opinion of Owner, for faithful performance during the preceding five years of all undertaking to Owner. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, Owner may establish financial criteria for the surety companies that provide payment and performance bonds. The Owner desires the promotion and involvement of SWMBE in construction. Therefore, pursuant to Owner's Board Policy CH(Legal), CH(Local) and CV(Local), Offerors are required to demonstrate good faith compliance with these policies. In order to determine the effectiveness of efforts to encourage SWMBE participation, Offerors shall complete and submit Document 00308, Small Women Minority Business Enterprises (SWMBE) Participation Plan. Copy of the Proposer's SWMBE certificate if Item D. of the Representation and Certifications is marked Yes. (5%) Owner reserves the right to award the Contract to any Offeror, at any time, within ninety (90) days after the opening of the proposals, to reject any or all proposals, to waive objection to any informality in the submission of the proposals and/or to terminate the procurement solicitation process in its entirety.
