Rehabilitation of the existing wastewater treatment plant and lift station. Installation of a package plant on a concrete foundation with new piping and electrical. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with R.S. 38:2214. Prime bidders for this work must be licensed under the classification of Municipal and Public Works Construction. Bids shall only be accepted from Contractors with the proper licensing classification. Any subcontractor submitting a sub-bid in excess of $50,000 to a Prime Bidder is required to be licensed in accordance with the State of Louisiana requirements. An acceptable Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check, payable to the owner in an amount not less than 5% of the bid, must accompany the bid. Failure to do so will cause bid to be rejected. Negotiable Bid Bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders as soon as possible, or not more than 45 days, after the opening of bids. All contractors submitting a bid on this project shall include their full company name, address and license number, as issued by the State of Louisiana Contractors Licensing Board, on the outside of the envelope containing said bid documents. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Contractor shall begin mobilization and procurement of materials within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders will also be in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal Government, State of Louisiana, bonding and insurance requirements. An acceptable Performance Bond and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder. Minority owned firms and small businesses are encouraged to participate.
