Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dike, Texas. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The proposed improvements include a new 10’ shared use path, installation of two (2) pedestrian hybrid beacons, and operational improvements to Charles Austin Drive. The limits of the proposed improvements will extend from CM Allen Parkway to Thorpe lane, approximately 0.57 miles. The purpose of the proposed project is to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety and mobility in the project area. All proposed improvements will be located within existing TxDOT ROW or within City of San Marcos property, therefore, no additional ROW will be required for the proposed improvements. As of June 22, 2020, this project is in the design phase. An engineer has been selected for the project. Although a firm timeline has not been determined, bidding is estimated to take place in July of 2020.
