Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Pine Grove, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Pine Grove Community Services District (District) invites bids from responsible, qualified contractors to provide construction services for the Water Storage Replacement Project, Project No. 0310005-001C (Project). The Project includes construction of a new 500,000 gallon welded steel potable water storage tank, appurtenances and associated work; construction of connections between the new tank and existing distribution system piping, including site piping, flowmeter and control valves; and demolition of 3 existing tanks and appurtenances, as indicated in the Plans and Specifications. Bidders shall not allow attendance by any representative of Bidder who is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or who has been directed to self-quarantine as a result of exposure to COVID-19, during the recommended period of such self-quarantine. Bid security in favor of the District in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) must be delivered to the offices of the District prior to the bid submission deadline. Bids shall be valid for 60 calendar days. The Project will be funded in whole or in part by the following funding source in addition to District funds: Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF). Bids must comply with all requirements associated with this funding source, including, but not limited to, USEPA DBE compliance and American Iron and Steel. In addition, the successful Bidder will be required to comply with all requirements associated with the SRF funding in carrying out the Project. The successful Bidder is required to have a valid Class A California contractor's license at the time of award. The award of the contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible, responsive Bidder. whose bid complies with all the requirements prescribed. The successful Bidder shall furnish both a payment bond and a performance bond for the full amount of the contract on the forms required. Pursuant to Section 22300 of the California Public Contract Code, the successful Bidder may substitute certain securities for funds withheld by the District to ensure its performance under the contract. This Project is subject to state and federal prevailing wages. All contractors will be required to pay appropriate prevailing wages as further detailed in the IFB. As between the state and federal rates, the higher of the two rates must be paid. All Bidders and any proposed subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. The District requires proof of current registration by Bidder and all listed subcontractors as a condition to bid on the Project. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 3400(b), the District has made findings designating that certain materials by specific brand or trade name other than those listed in the Standard Specifications be used for the Project. Such findings, as well as the materials, and their specific brand or trade names that must be used for the Project may be found in the Special Conditions. Builders Risk insurance including Acts of God for the full replacement cost of the Project in accordance with California Public Contract Code section 7105 is required for the Project.
