The Project consists of furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the re-roofing of the Bob Wiley Detention Facility Housing Unit #3 & $ located at, 36712 Road 112, Visalia, CA 93291. The existing roof consists of a built up roofing system. The new roofing system will consist of a fully adhered PVC membrane. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Contractor shall comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and in accordance with said Act, no person on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin, shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subject to discrimination under any service or activity in connection with the Project. Contractor shall comply with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. After the time set for opening of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to deem a bid non-responsive for any information crossed out from the bid packet including information completed by a manufacturer. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and/or waive any informality in any bid, and/or determine in its discretion the responsibility of any bidder. The Board of Supervisors further reserves all rights to use County Forces, or to negotiate contracts, or both, to the extent authorized by the Public Contract Code.
