The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) on behalf of the San Antonio State Hospital (SASH), wishes to procure services for the fire sprinkler systems, including any required fire sprinkler system inspections, and service and repair including any and all parts and materials, for SASH, located at 6711 S. New Braunfels, San Antonio, Texas 78223, including San Antonio State Supported Living Center, also at 6711 S. New Braunfels, and Casa Amistad located at 1500 Pappas, Laredo, Texas 78041. Contract Term: The term of Contract is from 9/01/2020 through 8/31/2023, with no renewals. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, transportation, equipment, materials, parts and supplies, as necessary to maintain fire sprinkler systems. The Contractor shall be responsible for supervision, clean up and disposal, and must have all applicable permits, licenses, and insurance coverage. Services shall meet the requirements of each manufacturer's recommendation and shall meet The Joint Commission's current published standards following the NFPA codes for Fire Sprinklers, NFPA 25 Standards for the Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems. The Texas Department of State Health Services has determined that COVID-19 represents a public health disaster within the meaning of Chapter 81 of the Texas Health and Safety Code. As a precaution to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and to protect residents, contractors, and employees at the facility, personal site visits at the facility will be conducted with strict adherence to social distancing protocol. Individual PPE, personal protective equipment will be required. PPE includes wearing an N95 face mask at all times. Temperature will be taken before entering the building. Client areas will not be included in the site visits due to COVID-19-related restrictions. Site visit groups will be limited to 10 people, including the HHSC personnel escorting the group. SASH will conduct one (1) pre-bid teleconference, and four (4) site visits that will be held at the dates and times described. Attendance at the pre-bid teleconference and at one of the site visits is mandatory. Failure to attend the pre-bid teleconference and one of the site visits will result in disqualification of the response. Vendor Questions Due July 9, 2020.
