Site work and addition to an educational facility in Puyallup, Washington. Completed plans call for the addition of a 16,829-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Construction is complete. The Stahl JH School Addition, Phase 2 - Addition and Site Work scope will occur at the existing school on the current Stahl Junior High School site in unincorporated Pierce County near Puyallup, Washington. The summary of the work includes, but is not limited to, building a new wood framed classroom addition containing 11 classrooms and support spaces with a mechanical loft above. The site work scope consists of civil and landscape improvements immediately around the addition, installation of two covered walkways to connect the new addition to the existing building, ornamental security fencing and gates to enclose the courtyard, new storm water treatment for the addition. Street improvements will occur along 168th to install a new 2-way turn lane, widen the roadway, install new curb and gutter, sidewalk replacement and ADA ramp replacement, associated utility modifications, and storm water treatment. All work is base bid except for Alternate #1 for addition improvements at the central courtyard including additional concrete seating, conc walkways, landscaping, and artificial turf. New building materials are wood framing, exterior veneer brick, prefinished metal composite panels, metal siding, asphalt shingle roofing, and translucent sandwich panel at the covered walks and skylights.
