Belleville Board of Education 102 Passaic Avenue Belleville, NJ 07109 Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Belleville Board of Education ("Board"), Essex County, New Jersey for Masonry Repointing and Lintel Replacement at Belleville School No.3, Belleville Elementary School No. 5, Belleville Elementary School No.7, Belleville Elementary School No. 8, Belleville Elementary School No. 9, Belleville Elementary School #10, and Belleville Middle School ("Project"). Any contractor submitting a bid must be listed on the official bidders list. Any bid received that is not a listed plan holder will be rejected. No documents shall be mailed, via US mail or overnight mail. In order to be eligible to submit a Bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in one of the following disciplines: C008 General Construction; or C009 General Construction/ Alterations and Additions; or C019 Concrete/Foundation/Footings/Masonry Work Bids must be submitted on the provided forms and be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond drawn to the order of the "Belleville Board of Education" for not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bid securities shall comply with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24. Bids shall also include a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if awarded the contract for the Project, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance Bond and a New Jersey Statutory Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law, if it is in the interest of the Board to do so. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 et seq., Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and to possess a current Certificate from said Department indicating compliance at the time of bidding.
