The work includes installation of an interior manhole lining systems that will aid in infiltration and corrosion protection. Sanitary sewer manholes in need of a proposed lining system will be broken up into two treatment service provider service areas (BCWSA and MMA) based upon the amount of I/I work budgeted for the year of 2020. Work involves surface preparation, cleaning, application of liner, and testing of each manhole that is proposed to receive the lining system. In the BCWSA Service Area there will be five (5) manholes that will be lined and in the MMA Service Area there will be seven (7) manholes that will be lined. All work is performed within Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, as provided for in the bid documents. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 7/22/2020 11:59 PM Requirements for a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, 10% Maintenance Bond and Contractor's Insurance are included in the Contract Documents. Each Bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. Lower Makefield Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to make such award as appears most advantageous to the Township. The Contract duration will 120 days beginning from Notice to Proceed through Substantial Completion. The work is to be completed within the time specified in Article 3, unless specific extensions are agreed in writing by the Owner and the Contractor. If this schedule is not met, the Contractor shall pay $1,000.00/day to the Owner in reparation. This payment shall be considered as liquidated damages, and not a penalty.
