General contractor information has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (Authority) is requesting Statements of Qualification from Consulting firms and teams interested in providing professional consulting services required for the selection, design, and construction of a replacement air traffic control tower and associated facilities, including the terminal radar approach control and associated base building, and all required infrastructure and equipment. Firms and/or teams submitting SOQs are expected to have extensive, recent and direct experience in the planning, design, and construction of civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural, DBE elements, and specialty equipment anticipated for this project. Firms shall also be familiar with design and equipment requirements for FAA operated air traffic control facilities, including coordination and approval requirements to ensure an efficient design and approval process that meets all FAA requirements. Firms may present project teams consisting of the proposing firms and appropriate subconsultants such that the teams have the necessary depth and breadth of experience appropriate for the project. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the relevant FAA design and minimum equipment criteria, shall follow all required FAA protocols, and approval processes. It is the policy of the Authority that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's), certified by the State or another recognized agency in accordance with 49 CFR Part 26, shall have the maximum opportunity to compete for awarding of contracts as professional, technical and non-technical service providers to the Authority. The overall DBE Goal for the Greater Asheville Regional Airport for FY 20/21 is 12.2 percent, and consideration to meeting this goal shall be included in all submittals.
