Renovation of a water / sewer project in Caledonia, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,189-square-foot water / sewer project.
This Project involves improvements intended to increase the rated capacity of the Caledonia Wastewater Treatment Plant from 0.5 MGD to 0.75 MGD. Improvements include but are not limited to: 1. A crane rail and hoist over the Pump Station No. 1 wet well. 2. An influent fine screen in a new headworks building. 3. Secondary treatment capacity improvements including, modifications to the existing SBR tanks, conversion of the existing biosolids storage tank to a third SBR tank, replacement of the existing treatment blowers with proposed treatment blowers, replacement of the existing SBR controls, replacement of the waste sludge pumps. 4. A tertiary equalization tank. 5. Tertiary feed pumps and tertiary filters. 6. An ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system and a proposed outfall. 7. Installation of digested sludge transfer pumps and construction of a biosolids storage tank. 8. Modification of the existing laboratory and operations area. 9. Improvement of the chemical feed system. 10. Ancillary improvements as necessary for a complete and operational system.
