The project consists of constructing a reclaimed water line starting just east of the City of Weatherford wastewater treatment plant and ending at the intersection of Old Dicey Road and Azle Highway. The pipeline project consists of approximately 14,500 LF of 18" PVC reclaimed water line. The Contract Documents, including plans, for this project are under regulatory review by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) and are subject to change. This contract is contingent upon release of funds from the TWDB. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids received. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates are applicable and bid packages must include the current Davis-Bacon general wage determination. Any revision by the Department of Labor to the applicable wage determination during the bid process will be issued as an addendum, to be included as part of and acknowledged in the Proposal. For prime contracts in excess of $100,000, Contractors and Subcontractors must also, under the provisions of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, as amended, pay laborers and mechanics, including guards and watchmen, at least one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek. The Fair Labor Standards Act may also apply to Davis-Bacon covered contracts. The requirements of the performance, payment and maintenance bonds are set forth in the Special Conditions. When the successful Bidder delivers the executed Agreement to Owner, it must be accompanied by the required maintenance, performance and payment bonds. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda and faxed to all parties recorded by the Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received after 12:00 pm (noon) on Friday August 7th, 2020 may not be answered.
