Site work and paving for a road / highway in Port Angeles, Washington. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The city of Port Angeles has secured a $2 million grant for the reconstruction of South Race on the half-mile segment of Race Street from Eighth to Olympus streets. the second phase of the Race Street project between First and Eighth streets would likely be completed in 2023. A multi-purpose trail will be built on the west side of the existing right-of-way and will connect the Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT) to the Olympic National Park Visitor Center. As of February 16 2022, this project is in final design stages. Bids could go out in 2022, but a construction timeline hasn't been confirmed.
