Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Shelbyville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of July 22 the project was awarded to Duncan Robertson Inc for $868,400.90 The proposed construction will include removal of the existing single span steel thru-girder bridge; construction a new single span bulb tee beam superstructure; installing approach rail transitions and guardrail; approach earthwork; placing riprap; approach construction; and all incidental work required, as more fully specified in the Contract Documents and Plans. All proposals must be submitted on State Board of Accounts Form No. 96 together with the proper forms included in the Contract Documents, the entire set of which shall be filed intact as a bid. In lieu of the above, any person, firm or corporation who submits a proposal and has a principal place of business in the State of Indiana MAY file with their proposal a BID BOND in the amount of ten percent (10%), made payable to the Board of Commissioners of Shelby County.
