Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in Portsmouth, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Work under this Project consists of the replacement of approximately 226 LF of 20" cast iron water main inside an existing 36" steel casing pipe and a new 36" steel casing pipe which is to be installed and joined to the existing one within CSX right-of-way. Approximately 180 LF of track will need to be removed and replaced to permit this work. The existing pipe will be removed from the existing casing pipe and replaced with 20" HDPE (DIPS/DR11). Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Each Bidder shall submit a letter of certification from their surety that an Erosion and Sediment Control Surety Bond in the amount of $ will be issued if the Bidder is awarded the contract. The Owner reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive informalities in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part and award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to negotiate with the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder should Bid exceed available funds. The City of Portsmouth does not discriminate in the solicitation or awarding of contracts on the basis of race, religion, faith-based organizations, color, national origin, age, disability or any other basis prohibited by state or federal law. *This project timeline has been extended due to the public health crisis.
