The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), as Owner, on behalf the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (Using Agency or BOR), and the University of West Georgia, (UWG) is seeking Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing construction management at-risk services for a project known as Project No.J-365 Humanities Building Renovation and infrastructure, on the campus of the University of West Georgia located in Carrollton, Georgia . This renovation of the Humanities Building would correct all Capital Renewal & Deferred Maintenance deficiencies (including all MEP systems), bring the facility up to ADA and life safety code, and provide for needed program and plant adaptation needs related to classroom station sizes, pedagogical support, and active learning. Currently, 69% of the classrooms have a student station size <16.6 SF. Classroom utilization is 0.38. Classrooms will be renovated to better align classroom size with current space standards and collaborative learning models. The Recital Hall, Art Instructional Studios and Galleries will similarly be renovated, and their ventilation systems will be brought up to code in response to NASAD Art Accreditation concerns.
