Renovation of a municipal facility in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Hermitage Municipal Authority will receive sealed bids online for the Biogas Storage project. All documents and solicitation details are available at any time electronically. The Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, painting the following surfaces: 1. New structural steel. 2. All hollow metal doors and frames. 3. Touch-up all unprimed or abraded portions of shop primed items, after erection, with primer as specified. Touch-up any surfaces that are not indicated on the Drawings as requiring painting but are damaged, soiled, or patched by work of the Seller or his supplier. 4. All painting of piping, insulation, mechanical ductwork and electrical equipment. 5. Interior exposed concrete block walls and gypsum ceiling in new building as specified in Section 099000. 6. Miscellaneous Metalwork. 7. Interior & Exterior Piping, Valves & Appurtenances. 8. Mechanical Equipment. A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Interested bidders need to register at the PennBID web-site. Once registered, bidders can obtain all project documents and submit and update their bids online. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 120 days from the date of Bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. See Instructions to Bidders for other provisions on the time available for acceptance of Bids. All Bidders must bid on all items listed on the Bid Form. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. The successful Bidder shall substantially complete the project within 120 calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This contract is subject to the following: the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act conditions; the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions; the Pennsylvania Act 229 of 2002; the Pennsylvania One Call Act, also known as the Underground Utility Line Protection Law, Act 287 of 1974, as amended; the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222 Conditions; and the non-discrimination in Employment/Contract Compliance Regulations Conditions. OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, including without limitation the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if OWNER believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by OWNER. OWNER also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the Work and to negotiate Contract terms with the Successful Bidder. Provisions for liquidated damages, if any, are set forth in the Agreement and Supplementary Conditions. The Hermitage Municipal Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids.
