Site work for a water / sewer project in Fairlawn, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Fairlawn will only accept and consider bids that have been produced and submitted via Bid Express. All handwritten bids and bids generated electronically from software other than Bid Express shall be considered non-responsive and ineligible for award. Each bidder is required to file with its bid a certified check or cashier's check for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of its bid, but in no event more than fifty thousand dollars, or a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of its bid payable to the City of Fairlawn. No Pre-Bid meeting will be held. No proposal will be considered unless the original check or bid bond to guaranty its bid is submitted to the City of Fairlawn in advance of the letting. The check or bond must be drawn on a solvent bank made payable to the City of Fairlawn, OH. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Summit County and the City of Fairlawn, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities or to advertise for new proposals, if in the judgment of the awarding authority the best interests of the City will be promoted thereby.
