For Bong Beach Area Improvements In general the work consists of: The project will make improvements to the beach day use areas at Vern Wolfe Lake (drawn down for DNR lake management) by removing the sediment on the lake bottom and laying a sand/natural rounded pea gravel blanket in the swimming area. The project will replenish and expand existing sandy beach area approximately thirty (30) feet toward the parking lot with associated drainage and path improvements. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
