The City of Rock Hill is requesting qualifications from consulting firms to provide design services including, but not limited to: land surveying, geotechnical investigation, and civil and traffic engineering for multiple projects within the City. The City of Rock Hill, SC is requesting qualifications from interested and qualified consulting firms to provide design services including, but not limited to: land surveying, geotechnical investigation, and civil and traffic engineering for multiple projects within the City. Potential qualified firms must demonstrate their corporate and individual staff experience in designing the proposed types of facilities within this area and in an urban environment. The firm should be well-versed in the permitting requirements of both the City of Rock Hill and South Carolina. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to obtain information about consulting firms interested in providing professional services to design civil projects for the City of Rock Hill. The professional services may include, but not be limited to the design of one or more of the following: demolition plans, water mains, sewer mains, stormwater and drainage improvements, traffic improvements, roads, site plans, pedestrian amenities, parking areas, landscaping, curb installation and replacement, and sidewalk or trails. The scope of services will include tasks necessary to complete the project, including associated land surveying, materials testing, plan and specification preparation, landscape design, utility relocations, traffic signage/signalization, permitting, rights-of-way/easement acquisition, construction cost estimating, construction administration and observation, etc. Surveying, geotechnical investigation and traffic engineering may be required for the design of these projects. All work in relation to the proposal submitted by qualified Firms will be done at the contract price with no other contracts or price negotiations. This RFQ is for on-call services, in which the selected firm(s) will be listed for a period of up to a maximum of two (2) years to be contracted by the City for various engineering consulting services on an as-needed basis. The number of firms selected for the services will be based on the diversity of the teams submitting responses to the RFQ and any specific disciplines identified by the firms, if any. Questions later than one week prior to submittal of the RFQ will not be considered. Method of Contractor selection has not been determined at this point of time.
