Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in West Dundee, Illinois. Working plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Plans call to rehabilitate the Higgins Road (Route 72) bridge over the Fox River in East and West Dundee. The Higgins Road from Third Street to River Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction, with lane widths reduced to 10.3 feet. In addition, left turns from Higgins Road onto Water and River streets will not be allowed. A recommended alternate route is Van Buren Street. As of July 6, 2020, construction is slated to begin in July 9 ,2020.
