**As of September 15, 2020, the anticipated start and completion is around the last week of this month weather dependent. This Contract provides for the improvement of Whitman Street. Work includes, but is not limited to, cleaning of existing roadway, grinding and smoothing, placement of HMA for Preleveling, placement of emulsified asphalt, placement of paving fabric, and paving full roadway width [+/- 24 feet] for approximately 700 linear feet. Starting at the intersection of Whitman and Evans Street and ending at the intersection of Whitman and Woodward Street. No roadway improvements are proposed for Evans or Woodward Street. Other construction activities include permanent pavement markings, traffic control, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and Standard Specifications. The CONTRACTOR will commence the work required by the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS following the 10 calendar days after the NOTICE TO PROCEED. If the CONTRACTOR starts work on the project at an earlier date, then contract time shall begin on the first working day when onsite work begins. The project shall be physically completed within 50 working days unless the period for completion is extended otherwise by the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. Default of Bidder shall occur upon the failure of Bidder to deliver within the time required by the Bidding Documents (or any extension thereof agreed to in writing by CONTRACTING AGENCY) the executed Agreement required by the Bidding Documents and any performance and payment Bonds required by the Bidding Documents.
