Bonding Estimate: $2 - $2.5 Million Project Location: City of Menifee along McCall Boulevard between Valley Boulevard and Bradley Road, and along Bradley Road, 250 feet north and 200 feet south of the intersection of Bradley Road and McCall Boulevard. The work to be constructed is located in the City of Menifee along McCall Boulevard between Valley Boulevard and Bradley Road, and along Bradley Road, 250 feet north and 200 feet south of the intersection of Bradley Road and McCall Boulevard. The work comprises construction of approximately 6,800 linear feet of 12-inch PVC pipe including all appurtenances, connections to existing lines, services, and installation of new fire hydrants. The work will also include installing approximately 100 linear feet of welded steel pipe on a bridge along an existing reinforced concrete box culvert between Grosse Point Drive and Northwood Drive, abandonment of approximately 6,500 linear feet of 12-inch diameter pipe along McCall Boulevard and abandonment of approximately 300 linear feet of 8-inch diameter pipe along Bradley Boulevard. Work shall include all restrained joints, thrust blocks, valves blow-offs, air valves, water services, shoring and bracing per California Labor Codes, backfill, pavement removal, replacement and restoration per encroachment permits, trench and pipeline dewatering, high lining service connections as needed, disinfection, traffic control, SWPPP, and other related appurtenant work. Questions received after this time may not be responded to. All bonds shall be executed by admitted surety insurers, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or satisfactory surety bond (by utilizing the District's Bid Bond form BB-1) for not less than 10% of the bidder's total contract price as a guarantee that the bidder shall, within seven (7) days after the mailing of a notice of acceptance of bid by the District to the bidder, enter into the written contract supplied by the District. The District shall return the bid bond, upon request. The Contractor shall furnish a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the amount of the contract and a labor payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. No bid or bid security may be withdrawn for seventy-five (75) calendar days after the date bids are received. The successful bidder shall, within seven (7) calendar days after the District mails a notice of acceptance of bid, return the signed agreement and bonds, and attend the pre-construction conference at the District office. The contract period shall commence seven (7) calendar days from the date of the Notice-ofAcceptance-of-Proposal.
