Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Knox County Clerk for the construction of five stream rehabilitation projects. The projects are located as follows: Site 100 on 510 Avenue between 896 Road and Highway 12, Site 102 on 881 Road between 518 and 519 Avenue, Site 103 on 518 Avenue between 877 and 878 Road, Site 105 on 872 Road between 518 and 519 Avenue, Site 106 on 541 Avenue between 878 and 878 Road, all in Knox County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as "Knox County EWP, Sites 100, 102, 103, 105 and 106" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment required for channel shaping, approximately 2,448 tons ofrock riprap placement and related incidental work. Copies of the Bid Documents and Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the Knox County Highway Superintendent, Center, Nebraska. All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Knox County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. The required completion date for all sites is September 17, 2020. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed five (5) calendar days per 100 tons of rock per site for completion, after beginning work at that site. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Knox County Board of Supervisors. The Knox County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Acts competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb. Rev. Stat. 23-3110 to 23-3114.
